Mark Peterson joins Contacts as Director of Scouting & Recruitment

The Saskatoon Contacts are pleased to announce that Mark Peterson will be joining the organization in the role of Director of Scouting & Recruitment.  Working closely with our Coaching staff, Mark will lead and organize all aspects of the teams scouting and recruitment.  

Mark has been involved in hockey in Saskatchewan for many years as he has coached teams from the U15 AA level all the way up to spending six years with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.  He has spent many years working in skill and player development with individuals and teams throughout Saskatchewan with players from U7 to the professional level, and is currently active in coach development in his work with Hockey Saskatchewan as Coach Clinic Facilitator.   Mark is currently Vice Principal with the Saskatoon Public School system at City Park High School. 

Key responsibilities of this new role include:

• Actively scouting potential players within the province 
• Developing a team of individuals to support the scouting and recruitment function
• Developing a Prospect lists, monitoring and tracking players 
• Communicating with prospective players and families
• Engaging with minor hockey coaches
• Planning and organizing Identification Camps throughout the year 
• Monitoring, engaging and communicating with current Affiliate players

The Board of Directors of the Saskatoon Contacts would like to welcome Mark to the organization. The Contacts have a long history of a very successful program both on and off of the ice and we are excited to have Mark on board to continue to enhance the Contact legacy.
